Geoffrey Walsky is the owner of Fairfield County Antique & Design Center. The center currently features 100 local and national dealers in more than 20,000 sq. ft. and hosts a range of quality antiques, fine art and weekly auctions.
Walsky, who grew up in Fairfield County and lives in Weston, has a background in retail managing museum shops like NYC’s The Intrepid. He knew Connecticut was the perfect place to open his new design center, not only because of its wealth, but also for its appreciation of art, design and antiques.
Walsky says his love of antiques was sparked by his mom as a child, when he was “dragged reluctantly by the hand” as she went shop to shop. Then as an adult, both he and his wife got into buying antiques and started collecting more than they could keep, so became dealers themselves.
